Tired Painting

Not feeling too great tonight, otherwise I'd work on these longer.

Emerging With Grace

Halloween Show

Poster I did for an upcoming Halloween show downtown.  I always love projects like this, there are no limits to the level of ridiculousness when it comes to punk fliers, the louder the better.

Shark Beast model sheet

Decided to go back and do some character support for these creatures. Some work in progress model sheets.

Two Shark-beasties!

Finished my two takes on this thing.  Aiming to be more decisive with my textures and forms.  Took two of the textures I had in the original design and tried to get some better consistency. One leathery and organic, the other jagged and rocky.

Shark Beetle Variation #2

Second iteration of this creature.  Pushing the aquatic forms.

Shark Alien Variations

WIP of one of my variants on the shark beetle design.  Going for some more consistency of form and texture. Pushing the rocky, shale like formations on this one.

Grace under pressure

Shark Beetle

Finished painting! Now with more sharky colors :)

Shark Beetle Sketch

Finished color on the alien and started a new creature.

Bug Color

Fleshed out forms and starting to put in some rough color.  I only get a couple hours a night to draw, so its kind of slow going!

Eagle Progress

Making slow progress on my eagle painting.  Ready to be done with all of these feathers!

Bug Sketch

Tonight's sketch! Didn't have as much time as I would have liked after work/gym time, but still managed to have some fun with this guy.

Mountains

Adding some mountain studies I did, still got a way to go with these kind of environmental illustrations, but i learned a ton from these paintings!

Quick Sketch

Really need to get back into sketching more in my free time!

Mommy's Little Monster

Combining my love of punk rock and monstrous beasties...what could go wrong?!

Making new stuff finally! Between the new job, new apartment and overload of work, I've been kinda slacking on painting for myself.  Time to focus again!  Im pretty happy with this piece, I really wanted to make something crazy and awesome to print out gigantic and hang in my apartment.  It was a challenge to get it done, and I think it shows a new level of refinement thats been kind of missing in a number of my illustrations.  I'm glad I stuck it out!

Reindeer!

Been busy with holiday stuff, so I've fallen behind on my illustrations. But I doodled a freaky yule-deer! that's gotta count for something...Merry Christmas!!

Windshear Steppe

Today's painting!  Kind of a quickie, going for something more melancholy and airy.

The undercity at Deep Core Alpha

Rough idea was a city on a cliff.  I love factory-things!

More Environments!

During my temporary unemployment here at the end of the year, I'm going to try to get in one painting a day. Its going to be a bit of a challenge!  These two are from Monday and Tuesday,  an alien beastly fountain and a fiery razor-edged cavern I pet named the Fire Maw.
